Shipping Information

We try to ship orders Priority Mail in the flat rate envelopes, we can usually ship up to 6-7 yards in Priority or Global Priority Envelopes. The envelopes are not sturdy enough for us to put over 7 yards in each one.

We charge actual postage rates (plus a small handling charge) when we ship your order, not by dollar amount. We will use the charts provided by the postal service and check the postage on each order based on it's weight. Usually the postage will be lowered on the order but occasionally it may have to be increased.

If you order a pattern from us that costs $20 and only weighs 3 oz. you'll only be charged postage for 3 oz. not by the dollar amount. We will never charge you $5.39 for postage that only costs us $1.50!

Handling – We charge $.50 for handling. (When shipping 1st class -this is on orders under 13oz we will charge $1.00 handling, the price of the Tyvek envelopes has nearly doubled in price, when shipping priority we use the envelopes and boxes the PO provides.)

Insurance (estimate)
Please indicate when you're checking out if you want insurance on your order or not by putting add insurance in the comment section. It only costs $1.75 for the first $50,
$2.25 up to $100,
$2.75 up to $200,
$4.70 to to $300,
And then $1.00 more for each $100 after that.
We will not be responsible for items after they have been mailed if you do not purchase insurance. Optional insurance is at the discretion and cost of the buyer. If your order is over $100 we highly recommend you purchase insurance in case your order is lost or stolen in transit. $1.75 a $100 will not add much to your order total and is well worth that little bit extra.

Foreign orders insurance is optional but, It is the only way we have of tracking foreign orders and replacing them if they're lost. Cost is $2.50 for the first $50 (Canada and Mexico its $1.75 for the first $50). You request insurance at check out by leaving a comment in the comment section requesting insurance.

Foreign orders
If you do not receive your order within 3 weeks from the date you receive the shipping notification please contact us immediately. To make an insurance claim we must have a letter signed by you and some other requirements and only have 45 days from the day the order was shipped. So please contact us if it's been 3 weeks after receiving the shipping notification by email and you haven't received your package (this is only if you purchased insurance).


These are the shipping charges for U.S. orders that are set by dollar amount on the website. This is the only way we can do it because there is no way to know how much an order will weigh until it's cut.




Priority Mail

Anything over 13 oz has to go Priority. If it will fit in a 'Flat Rate' Envelope for $4.80 then that's what we try to use. If we have to go to a bigger envelope or box we use the USPS charts based on weight and zone.


All Foreign orders will be shipped by Global Priority for $13.95 ($11.95 to Canada & Mexico) if the order will fit into the GP 9 1/2 X 12 1/2 envelope. If the order is larger than that it will be weighed and the actual shipping charges calculated. Please tell us if you want your order shipped Global Priority or First Class International. We always try to ship the least expensive way for the customer. Flat-Rate Boxes cost $25.95 for Canada and Mexico, other countries cost $43.95.

Taxes
Orders shipped to Mississippi will have 7% sales tax added to order.

Returns
Blackberry Patch Quilt Shop cannot accept returns on patterns or books due to copyright issues. Cut fabrics are non-refundable. Notions may be returned only if they are sealed in their original packaging. No unauthorized returns will be accepted. If there is a problem with your order please email me immediately. If there is an error on our part, it will be corrected. All sales are final 14 days from original purchase date
